About head units for the 2011–2015 Ford Ranger

The PX Ford Ranger (2011–2015) was one of Australia's best-selling utes, but its factory audio — even on higher trims — leaves a lot on the table. A vehicle-specific Nakamichi Purefit head unit replaces it with a 9-inch touchscreen running wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, sized to the Ranger's dash.
Every unit is made to order for the PX body, so it sits in the factory aperture cleanly with no cutting or filler panels. It plugs into the original wiring via a supplied harness and keeps your steering-wheel controls live. If your Ranger already runs a factory reversing camera, that can be retained too — tell us your variant and we'll confirm.
From the base XL work-spec through to the XLT and Wildtrak, the swap brings the cabin up to modern-phone standard while leaving the rest of the ute factory. Choose a unit below to get started.

Ford Ranger head unit FAQ

Will a head unit on this page fit my 2011–2015 Ford Ranger?

Yes — every head unit here is a vehicle-specific Nakamichi Purefit fit, made to order for the Ford Ranger 2011-2015 (Dual-cab / super-cab ute). It drops straight into the factory dash aperture with no cutting or panel modification.

What size screen fits the Ranger?

The Ranger takes a 9in head unit. Each unit listed here is built to that size for a flush, factory-look finish.

Do I need a professional to install it?

Most owners fit it themselves — it reuses your factory wiring through the supplied plug-and-play harness, so there's no cutting. Allow about an hour. Prefer a pro? Any car-audio installer can do it quickly.

Does it keep my reversing camera and steering-wheel controls?

Steering-wheel audio controls are retained and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are built in. Reversing-camera retention depends on your exact variant — message us your build and we'll confirm before it's made.
